Vettel's lead in the standings looked to be in hazard at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday when he was obliged to start in the pit lane behind the other field due to sustain irregularities in certifying. However the two-time defending champion bumped and zigzagged his way up the grid to complete 3rd, just one location behind primary competing Fernando Alonso of Ferrari. Kimi Raikkonen won the crash-filled race. Vettel leads Alonso by 10 points with two races staying, and could possibly clinch the title at the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, on Nov. 18.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
