Updated at 7:23 p.m. ET: Service out of New York's Penn Station has been delayed between 60 and 90 minutes because of a commercial power failure, Amtrak said on its Facebook page. The Long Island Rail Road resumed limited service for its eastbound service out of the station, LIRR said on Twitter. At issue was a power outage caused by Con Ed work, the New York Post reported. The outage resulted in the temporary suspension of all service on the busiest travel night of the year as thousands of commuters and visitors headed for Long Island and New Jersey.
